Updates to Work-at-Height Certification Program

SPRAT Notice of Updates to Work-at-Height Certification Program

SPRAT is pleased to announce updates to its Work-at-Height certification program, effective 1-October-2024. The primary changes to SPRAT’s Work-at-Height Certification Requirements (24B) are as follows:

  • The addition of a separate energy absorbing lanyard exercise.
  • An update to the descent mode exercise allowing transition from other fall arrest systems and removal of the requirement to construct the two-rope system.
  • Editorial updates of performance principles to align with SPRAT’s Rope Access Certification Requirements.

Documentation is scheduled to launch publicly on the effective date. In preparation for the launch, members are encouraged to review the updated documentation, including the Work-at-Height Evaluation Guidelines, checklists, and posters, within the online system’s document repository. Thank you to all involved in the creation and management of these updates, all of which were member initiated.
